With the exception of our drinkware all of our products are handmade by us, in the USA. We do offer a selection of locally sourced products.

How It All Started
It all started in a garage with a table saw and a handheld in expensive Dremel. In 2020 like many of us spending a lot more time at home and with 4 dogs, Jen wanted custom dog crate furniture. Refusing to purchase cheap fake furniture from China. She looked and Wifey aka Laura Beth and said we will build it ourselves. Laura Beth being the supportive wife she is said ok.
So, it began countless YouTube videos, almost losing fingers and wood shooting from the table saw nearly taking Jen out, JLM WoodCreations LLC was born. While Jen has yet to have the time to build that dog crate furniture, her and Laura Beth have managed to teach themselves how to build everything you see on their website minus the drinkware.
They started small building wood flags, cut by Laura Beth, each stripe was hand stained by both Jen and Laura Beth, each of the stars hand carved by Jen using a small cheap Dremel tool. The orders began to pour in, it got to the point Jen could not keep up with the demand spending hours carving stars. The first “big” purchase was made a hobby desk top CNC machine.
The countless hours, hairpulling, blood, sweat, and tears (legit tears) spent learning how to use the machine and design software would eventually lead to the purchase of a desktop laser to add to the customization options.
Within a couple years they had filled a new “warehouse” (spare bedroom) with items, and all of the products and boxes soon started overflowing into their dining room. Still only working on JLMWoodcreations.com part-time during their day offs, evenings and early-morning hours, all while working a 40 plus hour work week as local First Responders.
Our Personalized Gifts Focus
In 2022 we changed our focus to personalized gifts, awards, but still offering custom items. We changed our name to Engrave With Purpose LLC, we felt this described our brand better. We then added our first industrial laser, followed by a fiber laser continued to expand year after year.
Then in 2023 when their last child moved out both kids’ bedrooms were turning into additional storage production facilities, and shipping rooms, all to ensure we can meet our customer’s needs.
Still in their home shop (busting at the seams) is where the business continues to grow today, fueled by the passion that Jen and Laura Beth share for creating custom products that tell your story.
